Going With The Flow March 2020, class comments cont.
"Dear Jane, I felt a surge of love and gratitude this morning while doing Flying Crane looking out the windows on the 9th floor of the Portland VA hospital, waiting for kidney stone surgery.
I guess I finally realized that what I have always wanted in my life was to be present to it, and long form, while it woke me up from an old bad dream, wasn’t “it” for me. And Flying Crane has done the work of keeping my body integrated while my mindfulness meditations support me in living a current life. And it all started when I walked into the Occidental Community Center and started classes with you. Thank you for everything you gave me, I am sitting easily upright breathing deeply and clear, calm and present to it all because of the gifts you offered. Much love to you, Fred"
"Thanks for making contact, Jane. It means a lot to me to be included in the Tai Chi family.Being involved with the group up here in Gualala has changed my life. Justine is a magnificent teacher and friend. I feel blessed. Take good care. Namaste, Leslie"
"So good to get your message. I'm greatly missing our classes in qijong and tai chi.We are "Sheltering in Place" in Bennett Valley. I take walks around the neighborhood each day, warm up with qijong and then do a slow set (not as slow as in class :)) It's very different to be doing the form only alone.I hope everyone is taking good care of theirself and each other. May we meet again as soon as possible. Dan"
"Beautiful sentiments. Thanks for reaching out and connecting with us, being the current of chi that has brought us together all these years-slash-decades. It is a crazy time for sure, nothing that comes close in my short life. It has brought me to places that have me off-kilter, tilt my axis just a little further, but I am grateful to have something in my day to day that keeps me sane and healthy and brings me back to balance.I am also grateful to have the opportunity to share tai chi with others, to widen the community, and every class I teach, at some point, I reflect on my teacher and my sanga. We are some damn lucky souls!May all stay safe and well, and we will meet soon on the other side of this.big hugs and fist bumps, bob"
" did a slow set on Sunday, my usual time of practice with you, and I plan to continue to keep that routine. It was interesting to note that even as I have improved in internal sense of practice, I have actually forgotten what comes after what in some instances--having let go of my intellect and I guess relying on the group's movements as cues. I have a print-out of the set so will go about restoring memory of sequence. Thank you for being there for us.Jean"
"One of the things that has always thrilled and inspired me is the way in which you can, with your words, evoke a sense of the limitless presence that holds us, flows through us and connects us all. Thank you.with love,Barbara"
"So beautifully written. You are the loving power source of this community, which extends across the country! I continue to feel your inspiration in myself as I teach and try to inspire others.
Obviously we are not coming to California in April; the memorial has been postponed; do not know when we will reschedule yet, but we will be back in California at some point after this is over. Lots of love,Martha"
"Thanks for the email, Jane. The subject title says it all. Some things you do not fight. Just go with the flow.Peace,Bob"
"Thank you Jane for your caring, your connection and your leadership. I miss you but know that we are not separate. You live in my heart and in my practice. We find new ways to find each other.
With love,Teresa"
"Thank you Jane, its impossible not to think of the group when I step out in my backyard deck to practice nearly each morning. I try to do the whole form, but sometimes I do the first and second sections only and sometimes the third section only. While I practice I catch glimpses of myself in the sliding doors which gives me feedback. I may even get brave and take a few clips of myself on my phone video. On Saturdays I do a bit of self massage and Qigong, very often bits your words that you lead us with come to me as I embrace chi in my outstretched arms.
"I am Thankful for the Tress and Grateful to the Breeze
That Breathe life into my Heart and Soul"
P.S. I am glad I bought the Laminated Qigong Poem one side and Qigong form instruction on the back side small poster you were displaying recently. All my best,Ceylan"
